  Nup. Many use one of the cheap burner sims listed on OzB. I recently grabbed a $2 Lebara and recharged with $5 - has given me a number to receive texts on for 12 months just for this purpose :)
  
  Oh and DoorDash referrals, subscription trials etc…

      I grabbed the esim so it all comes through to my main phone. I haven't gotten any text correspondence for any of these competition sign ups yet but I suspect by the end of 12 months the number will be quite spammy and I'll easily ditch it to start fresh with a new one.
      
      For the texts - so far I have referred myself to DoorDash to get some referral credits/discounts and used the number to grab a JB Hi-Fi perks account for another free $10 sign up credit. I'm sure there will be lots more, thinking it could be handy to get the referral bonuses on some of the cashback sites…
