Need new frypan

Hi all I need a new frypan. I have a swiss diamond however I can't use it anymore because the 'non-stick' sticks making it pretty much useless. Not sure how much I need to pay to get one that doesn't stick - open to suggestions on brand and cost.
Thanks

If you always use high heat to cook, there is no 'non-stick' pan that last… Do what the rest of us do, buy lots of $10 pan from woolies and throw them out every 3 months. It's probably the cheapest option.

  • that's really dumb because a normal tefal only costs $39 and I've used mine for 3 years no probs

I bought my Nan a Swiss diamond on the promise the surface would last. It didn't.
I have Scanpan (two diff types). While the new ones have lasted better than the old ones (which were "classic"), I'll never buy Scanpan again. I want to be able to cook at high temps.
Friends have had success with Circulon, and more recently and even better apparently Cuisinart (which surprised me). I', considering Le Creuset for Nan but needs further research.

For the longest time, the cheapest option was to buy a $35 pan at Kmart that had a 5 year or 10 year warranty, and file the receipt and the label with the warranty details. They only last a year at best, so every year I'd take it back, point out that it failed within the warranty period and show the filed receipt and label, to get a full refund. They'd offer me an exchange, but I'd never take it, always requesting a refund instead.

Then I'd go get a new one from the self, and pay for it with the money I just got refunded, and get a brand new receipt. I did this 7 times over 7 years, going through various brands, but only paying once. It's no longer possible now because they all the pans have removed their extended warranties, because they just don't last that long. So now I just buy a $10 homemaker pan, and replace it every year.

Bottom line: as far as I can tell, none of them last, so just try to minimise the cost.

  • Cook's Illustrated (the Tv show) did some test and this one was the best non stick pan

  • I've had Tefal and I thought they were crap and didn't last long at all. Even on sale they were ultimately a waste of money. Dropped them off at the op shop a couple of weeks back. Currently have Circulon 2 and it works well. Milk does stick/burn to the Circulon 2 saucepan surface though, everything else bounces off, and the frypan does make awesome pancakes that lift/slide off super easy.

SKK and Woll are generally considered the best for non-stick:
