Seiko Prospex Tortoise Land Edition Mens Stainless Steel Case and Nylon Strap Automatic Movement Watch SRPG15J8. Sapphire Crystal glass. Case size 42.4mm. This is a JDM model Made in Japan. The dial pictured above is the non-JDM model. This version has the MADE IN JAPAN on the dial.

Introducing a new watch design to the Prospex Land collection, the ‘Tortoise’ is inspired by the popular diving watch shape nicknamed by Seiko fans as the ‘Tortoise’ because of its shell-like profile. The JDM SRPG15J8 is often referred to as the "Tortoise" due to its distinctive case design, which has a somewhat rounded and thick appearance reminiscent of a tortoise's shell. This design element gives it a unique and recognizable look compared to more conventional watches.

The practical SRPG15J8 timepiece is powered by the 4R35 automatic calibre movement and includes a rotating compass bezel, crown at 4 o’clock for comfort with highly visible lumibrite on the dial and hands, easy to see in any light. The 4R35 movement is Automatic with manual winding and has an approximate power reserve of 41 hours. The movement has a hacking - stop second hand function and a Date display.

Prospex is a combination of the words ‘Professional’ and ‘Specifications.’ Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.

The Seiko Prospex Tortoise JDM SRPG15J8 features the Seiko Automatic and Manual winding hacking movement calibre 4R35 with an approximate power reserve of 41 hours and a daily time tolerance of +45 / -35 seconds. The case is 42.4mm x 11.7mm. The Lug to lug size is 45.2mm and the lug width is 20mm. This watch has a water resistance rating of 200m and an approximate weight of 90gm. Additional features include a Screw-down crown, screw case-back, a date function and a bi-directional compass bezel.

    • As someone who was contemplating cancelling their order due to the price difference, this makes me stick with my first purchase with Starbuy. Good work! love to see this kind of response and looking forward to future deals.

      You can't price beat? Lol

      • Sold out before the other retailers put up the deal.

Not sure if there is much to complain about but can't please everyone lol.

        • I guess.. But a $50 voucher on your next purchase is not the same as a $50 discount by watch depot.

          • @Circly: Get it from there then, and move on.

Suppose if you're never going to buy another watch again.

It's a pretty good deal (and they didn't have to offer that)

    • Omg. Sad I missed this. Chance to own the Green Turtle for $299 with a $50 voucher for future :(
What a great deal. Can't believe I missed it.

  • Well, I have the watch in hand (tan/green version). I like it. Wasn't sure if I would like the "turtle shell" case style, but it's really not bad. The brushing on the corners on my example is….. AGGRESSIVE. It's actually distracting. Bezel feels nice. I like the colour scheme. Lume is fantastic. But the strap is an abomination. Could just be because I'm a spaghetti wristed muppet, but it's truly awful.

    • Yeah that should soften up (after a long time if it's a sailcloth). Just put it in a nato and leather and you'll love it. Think the case is called a cushion but I may be wrong. Sounds very solid for the price anyway, sapphire for 300$.

    • +1

My tricks is to remove the straps and then roll them up as small as possible and tie a rubber band on it for a day. It's much better now.

      • I'll give that a try, thanks!
