DVD-R is a WORM media, which stands for "Write Once, Read Many". An empty disk is known as a DVD-R, but after writing, it is in fact the same as a DVD-ROM.

Not sure whether Officeworks stock them. but $0.3 per disc is a pretty good price. You can get it @ Fortitude Valley Business Centre (QLD)

  Officeworks, JB Hi Fi, Big W … even David Jones (if it has the same brand and quantity) all offer price matching and may be worth a shot. No guarantees but still :)

    True. But this package is pretty old that you wont find it in other stores. That's my concern.
