Loudspeaker System - for in office application

Hello Ozbargain Community,

I'm trying to find a 'loudspeaker' system for an office situation.

The kind that you see the 'rich company executive' using in a movie, or even the 'military team' during a meeting.

It sits on a table, and is round-ish, but I have no idea what it's called, who makes them, and where to get a good deal from.

Please help.

Something like http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6788/ph…? I think you are referring to a tabletop conference telephone system. Search for that in Google images and see if something suitable shows up. I don't know anything else about them, sorry.

      I'm after more of a solution to either 'plug in my smartphone', and in the future a landline.
      
      Just so much easier to use loudspeaker when making hours worth of calls to multiple numbers…
      
      The quality of calls is also quite important; just so there is no apparent loss.

Lookup Polycom. They go from simple desktop speaker phones on regular phone lines upto full on high definition video conferencing.

What you're after is teleconferencing equipment.
