I have'nt posted this as a deal as its not suitable for everyone and just listing here for discussion:

$1000 off your laser eye procedure per person when you and a friend have an eye assessment and proceed with laser vision correction by 31st January 2013.

Conditions:
• Initial assessment and laser vision correction must be completed by 31st January 2013.
• Discount is applicable to the total cost of surgery for two eyes.
• Persons attending for this assessment need to be a candidate for laser eye surgery
• Each individual must fully complete eye assessment for discount to apply
• Not suitable for reading vision (presbyopia) as a result of age.
• Not valid with any other offer

Sebban Eye Centres in Sydney is considerably cheaper but this offer could be useful if you are in Melbourne and looking to have eye surgery.

    I had PRK (pre-Lasik) in 1997 from a specialist (in Macquarie St, Sydney) who wanted me to have a good think about it before proceeding. I went ahead with good results. At that stage it didn't fix astigmatism which has worsened so I went back a few years ago. Everything looked good until one final test showed some possible keratoconus (thinning of the cornea)and he refused to do it.
    That's right he refused my $5,000 odd.
    My feeling is these guys that advertise, offer discounts would have taken my money in a flash.
    It's great to save money but I don't think it's a wise move with this type of surgery.
