Coffee Machine Under $300

I'm hoping someone can point me in the direction of a reasonably priced coffee machine. My budget is $300 so i'm assuming i would more than likely be getting a capsule type machine with a frother. I don't have any idea in the slightest of which one to buy as they all look the same to me.

Also i'm looking at buying a sensor bin and saw this - http://www.saveonretail.com.au/43-litre-sensor-bin-quality-a… can anyone recommend buying from them? I may as well try and kill 3 birds with one stone, Summer Romance 100ml.. i'm also after that as well if there are any bargains about. But mainly help on the coffee machine would be appreciated.

Thank you

  • I just applied for this AMEX: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/86900. You get a free coffee machine if you spend over $500 before late January 2013.

    • Thanks for that but unfortunately i've already got an Amex otherwise i would of done it.

  • How about the Sunbeam EM4820 or 4800 http://www.sunbeam.com.au/products/kitchen/em4820/

You'll find these around $160-220 from most places like Good Guys etc

Pair this with a Sunbeam EM0480 grinder http://www.sunbeam.com.au/products/kitchen/em0480/

They are normally $200 approx but you can get these for $120-150 if you bargain hard. I think there is a place in Silverwater that sells them for $150 normally. Big W sold these for $100 recently and HN do deals on these fairly regularly.

    • Cheers Frig. I've missed out on so many excellent deals, especially the one big w had on the sunbeam machine/grinder combo. I think i'm going to just have to fork out some extra cash and pay the "Christmas premium."

  • Seriously, you can't go past the Aldi capsule machine for $89. Capsules are a third of Nespresso for price and they have a great range. Comes with a 2 year warranty and works like a dream. I've got a $3000 Saeco and I feel like a dumbass for buying it. If my machine dies, I'll get the Aldi one for sure.

I bought the Aldi one for work and 18 months on it's still going strong. I'm on a patrol boat and the machine's doing probably 25 coffees a day.

I read that Aldi buy them them under licence from KFee and they were a $300 machine. Aldi buys so many they subsidise the price to sell bucketloads of coffee.

Their milk frother does a great job too for $25.

  • I still believe the best setup is the Delonghi EC0310, and a Sunbeam EMO440 grinder. a fantastic machine and grinder setup for awesome coffee every time, for under $400. :) absolutely love it!
