I want to buy a low spec laptop for my visiting mother. She lives in Canada and she wants to use it for three months here in Oz; and then take it back to Canada.
Which company do you guys recommend that has a realistic international warranty? I plan to buy it locally here in Sydney (or online). All she wants to use it for is internet browsing / webmail.
I'm thinking DELL, Lenovo etc….any tips?

I have used Dell's international onsite warranty and it works perfectly fine. I was overseas and I had trouble with the Dell laptop purchased in Australia. Dell helped me out by sending parts and technician onsite just like they do here in Australia.
So I can vouch for them. One of my friend has also used Toshiba's international warranty overseas and it works fine. I have used Lenovo's international warranty and it works very well. Please buy the cheapest one from these companies and I am sure you will be fine.
