Just stumbled on this deal while looking for an air purifier to survive Melbourne's brutal hay fever season. It’s not the cheapest option out there, but hey, it’s a Dyson! The filter supposedly lasts up to 5 years, so you might save on some on-going costs in the long run. And don’t forget the cashback!

That’s what she said
it does, but its not as large as you think.
Lol, I get negged for stating the obvious. The pictures on Dyson are enlarged, hence I have asked the question. No pun was intended tbh
50% IS STILL NOT ENOUGH
50% =$750 sigh.
my nose can stick thatThe secret ingredient in helping you sleep with it switched on is the formaldehyde :)
Yeah, strange model name.
Formaldehyde? Is this dual purpose for mummification?
Thanks for posting OP, I have purchased one. During hayfever season I wake up all clogged up before the day has even begun, hopefully this can help.
Removes gases, odours, dust, allergens, viruses and bacteria. Captures 99.9% of viruses. Reduces your exposure to pollen, pet dander and airborne mould spores. Captures NO₂, a common urban pollutant. Removes smoke particles from wildfires.
Continuously destroys formaldehyde.
Dunno if that counts as 50% in real world prices. They usually around 1300.
Cool deal. Thanks
Any decent ones in the prime sale?
What's the replacement filter situation?
From Dyson directly. They support them with replacement filters for many years, even 1st Gen Dyson purifiers still have replacement filters available
Sounds expensive
This model was originally made for the commercial setting so yes. $249 for the HEPA filter and $199 for the carbon. Approx $89 a year if replacing at 5 years, pretty standard for most name brand purifiers
why would anyone buy this over any other air purifier?
My current air purifier is useless against cigarette smoke and I've had a headache for 3 weeks straight from nasty sinus… Upon further research cigarette smoke is mainly around 0.1-0.25 microns whereas my current purifier can only do down to 0.3… I was technically after cheaper recommended ones but they all didn't ship to Australia for some reason so this seems pretty decent vs ones that specify filtering down to 0.1 but don't have in depth reviews.
This one does 0.003 microns: https://www.philips.com.au/c-p/AC1715_70/1000i-series-air-pu…
Hmm that claim seemed so bogus since I'm pretty sure you can't create particles that small from usual testing that I thought it was just a mistake of the website or something.
What about this one?
https://amzn.asia/d/dLMBpqMYes, that is also a filter.
Dyson doesn't post CADR numbers because it doesn't believe in the testing. Better off getting a tested purifier that isn't overpriced like Coway Or Winix.
That looks super massive
