When you buy one from a pub it’s a 30ml shot not 200ml.

200 Mega Litres? Does this really qualify as responsible service of alcohol?

    • +1

Haha, edited. Units are hard. I'm always an order of magnitude off!

      • Sounds like you are too busy having gallons of fun

      • +2

That's 9 orders of magnitude. Almost an order of magnitude of orders of magnitude.

    Lunchbox friendly

    • I would strongly disagree. Most lunchboxes are plastic and most plastics dissolve in alcohols

      • +1

If what you're putting in your lunch box has a high enough proof to dissolve it, I'd say you have bigger problems.

Thanks op. Good size to carry to work to drown the sorrows. πŸ‘

High school teachers love this deal

      • +1

They shouldn't be taking treats unless they've got enough to share with the whole class.

    • +1

Still will need to share with co-workers as this is more than 5 standard drinks?

  • +3

just started working from home do they have any 20000ml options?

These are often $40 for the 700mL when on sale (equates to approx. $56/L) which I think is better value. I usually keep a bottle or two of these for guests who come over for dinner and know nothing about whisky (or don't deserve the middle/top shelf) :D

    • for guests who come over for dinner and know nothing about whisky

Yeah this is a real issue. My take on this is rather than buy something dirt cheap get a mid-tier bottle you ain't tried before. For the extra $20-50 you get to try something new, if it's good you've learned something and can have it straight while they're mixing, and everyone is included drinking the same.

      $40 a bottle back in 1990’s

    • @gezza90 snob much? πŸ˜‚

    • Agree, although I think QLD (where I am) is typically excluded from those deals.

  • cheaper than perth duty free atm! however, i wish they were 1L bottles.

  • Do you drink this raw or maxing? Asking for a friend.

  • Talking about duty free…

I was looking at the Heinemann store.

Was able to add 4 litres of booze and got a cart total of $193.
Chivas Regal 12y Blended Scotch Whisky 40% 2x1L Twinpack
Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Infused Gin 37.8% 1L
Maker's Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey all for $193.

I can't figure out the math. If I remove one single bottle, cart is $178. The $53 confuses me.

  • It doesn't add discount for me :(

    • Interesting, looks like they removed the Chivas from the sale.

The Jameson 200mL is still included though.

  • Yes not working for me on Chivas

    • Marked as expired but worth noting the Jameson is still available for the same price.
