Speakers for TV

Looking for a sound system for my 42" Panasonic plasma TV, something simple and not too many speakers and cables lying around.

Were thinking of buying below Bose Solo TV for $549, but will consider other brands that are value for money.

Any feedback is very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

A budget alternative would be the kogan.com.au

    Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer

Crystal Clear Sound for any TV

    Only
    $139.00
    Plus delivery

    DimensionsSoundbar: 80.0 x 13.0 x 9.0cm, Subwoofer: 24.6 x 24.6 x 35.0cm Output Power60W Speaker Size2 x 3" Subwoofer2.4GHz Wireless Subwoofer Size5.5"

    Coaxial1 Optical1 RCA2

It' had an okay sound quality

3 days before the warranty was over it started to get a high pitched ' electric' beep

Kogan s after sales support got back too late / past the warranty requesting video and sound recording evidence to be sent in before considering that it will be fixed under warranty ( customer pays for postage - and we all know how expensive Australia Post is considering the size and weight of it .

As we don't have recording devices I have out it down to them trying to be difficult
And trying to extend a response time

I don't think I'd would want to buy from them again )

I'm not sure why you recommended this, then gave your story on the issues you had.

  • I pointed out the budget alternative Kogan

But also wanted to inform about the possible drawbacks

Not all units are the same

  • Fostex monitor speakers. are great and good price.
Their smallest powered speakers are about $200 for the pair.
