Property research tools for WA

Hi,

I'm looking to start property investment and just wondering if anyone have suggestions for any property research service that cater for WA market? I had a look at Australia Property Monitors, but it's a shame their Property Pro service not available for WA.

  • You'll have to do the research yourself but www.onthehouse.com.au has great information on sold prices, rental prices, advertising history, etc. You can search by suburbs, streets, individual property and more. It's free too.

    • cheers, just wonder how to go about the prices of a sold property that show "price withheld" or "contact for price", for example the one below, can I actually ask the agent directly?

      • Sorry, I didn't realise it's not free for WA properties. You can call the agent directly but they would probably expect to be given your details so they can contact you about properties they want to sell you. You could also pay the 90 cents fee to see the government notified sales prices. All sales are government notified and usually published within about 3 months of the sale.

  • Make friends with a real estate agent who can give you the prices from RPData. Or sign up for it yourself. Cheers! The agent for any particular property will be happy enough to tell you the final price IF the property has settled. If not, then they don't want to pollute the new sale. But, remember, they aren't obliged to tell you, so be nice! ;)
