  I have the previous model and it's awesome. Bought in 2016, still kicking. Used almost daily for… lots of stuff. There wasn't a function we haven't tried. And its robust as. Survived moving 3 continents and several local moves as well.
  Having said that… i am not that keen on the newer model with the touch screen. Hands in the kitched get "dirty" at times and the one thing i like about my current kenwood is how abundantly simple it is. Very little room for error.

    I know exactly what you mean, but I've gone for it (thanks OP). We'll see how it goes. Website says 10 year warranty.
    edit: I'll buy a stylus that works with the screen and just use that I guess, no mess on the screen at least.
