Recommendation for NON in-ear earphones?

Hi guys,

I just broke my earphones and am looking to replace it with a set of new earphones which are not the in-ear type.

I've been searching on the deals section but I found that most people actually post in-ear ones.

Do you guys have any recommendation?

Thanks

  • Yuin PK3. You can find them on eBay:

I purchased them from this guy, they are quite awesome for earbuds.

  • I second the Yuin PK3 earbuds, good sound and relatively cheap.

If you don't mind something bigger, I also like the Koss KSC-75. They're great, light and portable, but they're clip-ons.

I usually buy from Headphonics. You could try their forum for more suggestions, guys are quite helpful there.

  • thanks guys!

I was looking around the internet as well and stumbled into some posts at WP and most would recommend the same thing. I believe the quality is like what most people have said.

  • Sennheiser MX580
quality a bit worse, but comes with some quality of life improvements such as L shaped plug and Y-cable

    • What do you mean by quality a bit worse? As in worse than Yuin PK3?

      • Yes, significantly worse.

  • My PK3s have a Y cable. Can't remember the plug though - they're at work. Straight I think :(

  • You keen on "portable" headphones at all?

+1 on the Koss KSC-75. They would be the half way point between earphones and headphones.

    • I'm not too keen about portable headphones. I can keep them in my pocket (not that I always do) but even if I don't, headphones will take up more space in the bag than earphones.

  • +1

I was given some Bang & Olufsen A8 earphones. They clip over behind the ear, very firm fit, expensive, $220(on sale until dec 31st) google for info :) have to buy from thier stores, highly reccomend too.
