Best price I've seen on this lens by quite a margin, and Camerapro are always a pleasure to deal with. To get this deal, select either a Canon or Nikon mount option (priced at $425), and when at Check Out apply the coupon code "facebooksigma30" to receive $100 off. Deal expires on the 16th of December.

Enjoy!

  • when buying other branded lenses e.g. sigma or tamron, how would i know if it'll fit my camera? ive got a canon 600d which can fit ef and ef-s lenses but sigma/tamron doesnt label that

  • Only if you have this sale 2 weeks earlier…..
Very good price for Aus stock brand new.

Whoops. I'm not a rep btw. Accidentally click rep box

    • Rep flag unchecked.

  • Great lens, great bokeh for cropped sensor camera :D
Very sharp too. Just make sure you don't get a dud copy with focusing issues.

    • Yeah my concern too.. if the warranty is a true Asut warranty does that mean if it is faulty I can take it soemwhere local (I live in Perth) than have to send back to the supplier? (Anyone know?)

  • The f1.8 35mm is probably better value if you have a Nikon.

    Kogan has them for $199.

    • I wish Canon offered something like this - I'd be all over it :(

Tempted to grab one of the Sigmas, but I'm concerned about corner softness.

      • One way to test whether it bothers you is to look at the photos you currenty take around 30mm and see if you spend much time looking at the corners. If you are going to shoot at big apertures, which is the benefit of this lens, then only a small portion of the image will be in focus anyway. Of course there are always the brick wall shooters who love to point out that the corners are soft on their images.

I use mine mainly indoor for parties, usually under f4, so corners are almost always out of focus anyway as they are not in the depth of field.

If I had my time again I would probably go the nikon but I really like my sigma 30mm and am keeping it, probably use it tomorrow for a party.

  • Coupon code is not working. OP could you please check again ?

    • Make sure you are at the Check Out page. The code will not work if you try applying it on the Shopping Cart page.

      • OK.. that did seem to work.. now I have to just decide if I really want it!! :)

  • I get get the code to apply either.. just does nothing.. not sure if it is a browser or website issue.

  • Hi Sarakoth, we just wanted to check whether you had had any luck in relation to this? We are not aware of any issues of the coupon not working on the site, however if you have any hassles let us know and we will look into it. thanks!

  • Hi Rep, any chance of the same pricing on the Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM ? :)

  • Coupon didn't work for me :( Have e-mailed CameraPro, hoping they will honour the code when I talk with them tomorrow, as I would really like to add one of these lenses to my collection :)

    • Coupon worked for me Sat 15/12 evening. I've tried it again Sun 16/12 afternoon and it is still discounting the order by $100.

Refer to the notes above, you must apply the coupon while in the 'check out' not while in 'shopping cart'

  • rep, your surcharge is a little off. you need to fix it
