  Not sure if I want to buy Arma2 to play DayZ, knowing that it's buggy as anything and the standalone dayz will be coming out eventually for like $20.

  Would anyone be able to recommend Arma2 for DayZ now, or just to wait until a standalone comes out that isn't tediously glitchy for the sane people amongst us? Cheers.

    If you're just wanting to play DayZ and short on cash, just wait it out (Apparently, standalone will be released before Christmas). If you like realistic shooters, the Arma 2 campaign should provide some decent entertainment. Check out some gameplay vids and make that decision yourself. :)

      Thanks for the reply. If it's coming out around Christmas, I'm happy to wait it out. The DayZ mod as it currently stands is frustrating to use (so I hear), so I'll just wait for the standalone :)
