Wyndham is like time-share, but better as you receive credits every year which you can use to book accommodation in the Wyndham (and their associate) resorts. I joined Wyndham (then called Trendwest) directly back in 2002 and it's worthwhile only if you do take holidays regularly. I have stayed in a lot of their resorts within Australia since I joined and the accommodation is generally pretty good (mostly self-contained).

If I had known about redseason back then, I would've bought the membership through them (almost 40% cheaper) but I had only come across them about a year ago. I have been following their newsletters and think they are providing an excellent service with re-selling the memberships (which Wyndham themselves don't like as it undercuts their own memberships).

So if you are seriously considering owning a membership in Wyndham, I would recommend doing it through redseason. There are slight differences with the memberships redseason offers (as they are the older type) and the "new" memberships offered by Wyndham directly (called "Privileges"), but I haven't really seen any real benefits in having the Privileges membership and don't think it's worth paying over $2.00 per credit (that is how much Wyndham themselves are selling them for) just to have the Privileges membership.
