    Early Settler/Recollections have this fan (or if not this one EXTREMELY similar) at a price of two for $99 ($49.50 each). I just bought them. In their catalogue.

      Sorry, these are in no way the same. Our fan is 100% stainless steel, the fan you have linked to has timber blades and is powder coated. Very different.

    I think they have their product description wrong down the bottom.

    They are actually - Fans - Ceiling Fans - Sorrento 48" Satin Brushed Nickel with Satin Brushed Nickel Blades"

    They are metal, I have them in my ceiling as we speak. The electrician couldn't believe it when I told him the price and the superb quality of them.

        That catalogue says 2011 so its been running a while.
        Really is only $40 saving if that's the case.

        Its been that price since winter 2011. No where does it say catalog SPECIAL or any sale times. Stop trying to treat us as fools. You marked up the old price to give an illusion of a greater saving. Your previous price is $119 so its only $30 off

          1. Apologies you are apparently saving ONLY $30.
          2. We release only 4 catalogue's a year and they are all sales with 10-20% off. 20% off $150 is $120, and it is a sale as it says in the terms on the last page 'Sale ends 30/9/11' the price would then go back up to it's usual price of $149.95.
          3. The fact that price is from 2011 doesn't really matter, it is a current model fan that still sells extremely well, so the price in a 2011 sale is irrelevant as the price hasn't dropped since then.
          4. If you really feel that strongly I will update the saving and price.

    edit : woah !! I just added a remote as an accesory and the price went up to $150 !

      Hi, we do have some lights that will fit, unfortunately we don't have any online at the moment. Let me know if you are interested and I can send you some specs and pricing. Yes remotes are still fairly expensive as they have the receiver to go in the fan base and the remote itself.

    Last month I spent alot of time researching fans and decided to pick one up from Bunnings (http://www.bunnings.com.au/products_product_fan-ceiling-wlgh… same model without light). Came with a 5 year warranty (inhome). Couldn't be more happy with it, Whisper quiet, and perfectly balanced too (no iota of wobble). Installation was reasonably easy. I think the Bunnings one looks a little nicer too.

    I've heard fans with stainless steel blades tend to make alot more noise than timber blades, so those interested might want look into this..

      Hi, it technically can go outside as long as it is kept clean and dry, it may suffer if you are in an area by the sea as the salt air can cause corrosion. It is 304 stainless steel, so for outside a 316 grade would be better. The below fan is similar and is 316 stainless steel. Hope this helps.
