Fake Note 2 from AliExpress - Any opinions?

Thinking about ordering a cheap Android phone to fiddle with.

Specs on this look ok, and the videos on YouTube seem….ok.

Opinions?

my experiences with china knockoff, regret at the end.

  • Buy to play, not to stay. Had a knock off iPhone cause it was something equivalent to AUD20 straight from the pirate's den. It worked well for stone skipping if that's what you are looking for. The advertised 128mb of "ARM" on that model really affected the bounce. I think I got ~10 clea skips. $2/skip. Where else can you find value like that?

  • every chinese knock off I have ever bought have been a disappointment. (3 at this stage)

    uber crap battery.
    shonky interface.
    slow.
    crap phone basically.

though it never stopped me from on-selling them on ebay for a profit. which is bad. but at the same time in the spirit of the capitalist system we work under. :)

  • I would suggest at least go for a brand that has some reputation like Meizu, Ainol, Cube and don't forget to check for reviews of the specific model.

  • Apparently this is a "brand".

But what about the network…900 only for 2G!? So no good for Optus/Virgin?

    Thanks guys.

  • Well that's not a review at all in the youtube video but it does appear to work OK. As mentioned expect crappy battery and from the pictures it looks like they are different so you couldn't just replace it with a genuine battery.

And crappier screen resolution compared to a real one.
