      true..but playing $6 allows you to have cloud storage and not spend 100hrs trying to get the game running properly on windows 7 with a controller.

      Yep, although barely a 'remake', its just been upgraded to work with today's Windows & graphics cards with some slightly improved textures here & there. There's bugger all difference between the old and this new version though

      Modifies the save file & increases the characters to their maximum HP&MP as well as gil which makes the game far less challenging & avoids grinding. You'll still manually level up & have to unlock new limit breaks

      Just maxes out HP/MP and gives a buttload of money. Doesn't increase the character level though.

    What a shame that Japanese games are now influenced by their Western counterparts, which are far less challenging and interesting.

    What the hell happened to this genre. Now we have Bioware and Bestheda as the prototypes. I know I'm in the minority now, but I think that's kinda sad.

      To be perfectly honest, I got over the whole awkward girly boy who talks like a 5 year old.

      Mass Effect, Dragon's Age, KOTOR etc were a breath of fresh air.

    Anyone able to tell me about the resolution? I obtained this from a different source and the resolution wouldn't go higher than 800x600 though the ingame graphics options.

    If you're planning to buy this and wouldnt mind messing around with it, there are some mods out there that improve the resolution, sound, graphics and pretty much makes it more HD than it already is. Theres a few websites around that have info about it. This one has the links and down the page a screenshot of how the mod looks. I think theres also a torrent out there with all the mods/files in one group so you dont need to download them separately.

    Did anyone buy this?
    I went through checkout, and then nothing happened except -$6 to my credit card.
    Only email I got was to activate my Square Enix NA account.
    Do they email you the game registration code or something?
