  For $125 more you can get from jbhifi with extra 2 years canon replacement warranty. I think that's a better option

        yes 3 years total. its replacement warranty, not just fixing so you get a brand spanking new one. but im unsure whether the offer is still available. i bought mine last week

        not automatic. its called the canon care package. there is a serial in it and you need to register it within 14 days of purchase
