This seems to be similar to a Flash game I once played. In that game, coloured lights shot out of generators, and you had to guide them into collectors with various attracting and repelling nodes. Some nodes only operated on one or two colours, others worked on all. Kind of a puzzle game. The music part was that when a light hit a collector, it played a note. Each colour was a diferent part of the tune, and once you got them all correct, you could listen to the full piece while the collectors filled up.
