Amazon Deal - Buy a Qualifying Nikon Digital Camera and Save $100 or more on lenses (US address needed)

Happy Holidays everyone, let me tell you of a little Nikon deal Amazon currently has at the moment. There is a lot of jargon below, and my example is based off a enthusiast-level full-format FX purchase of a body and a lens (told you there was lots of jargon!), but have a look at the links below to make something that suits you and your budget.

Firstly though, as this requires a US address, I didn't bother posting this on the main website. The savings though are quite good, so I'm posting this here anyways for those who have a friend in the states who can send this back for you like me, or are happy to use a freight forwarder.

Basically there are a couple of elements to this deal, which combine like Captain Planet to make a pretty tempting ozbargain-style deal.

The first and main element is buy a Qualifying Nikon Digital Camera and Save $100 or More on Select NIKKOR Lenses or Speedlights.

The second is that Amazon is currently selling the D600 body bundled with a 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR AF-S Nikkor Lens for 26% off at $1996.95 USD, which is the same price as the D600 body only.

The third part is that if you buy this camera by January 1 2013, you will get 6% Amazon rewards points. From what I can tell, these are just like credits you have in your account that can go toward future purchases.

As an example of the deal, you can get a Nikon D600 with the bundled 24-85 mm at $1996.
You can then add a Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G ED AF-S Nikkor Wide Angle Zoom Lens for $1889 before rebate.
Subtotal is $3885 + $20 shipping - $200 rebate for lens.

Total cost all up is $3706 USD. On top of this, you would qualify for 6% in rewards for the camera, IE around $120 USD credit.
The bundled lens is certainly no slouch, so my gut feel is it'd be quite easy to sell the 24-85, so hopefully bringing that closer to $3300 or so for a D600 and a 24-70mm lens.

Here is a review of the lens below (some may cringe at Ken Rockwell, but whatever): http://kenrockwell.com/nikon/24-85mm-vr.htm

Hope it helps if you're in the market for Nikon.
