Where to Buy a Brand New RTX 4090 GPU in 2025?

Hi all,

After seeing the prices of the 50 series cards, and the subsequent stock shortage, I've decided to move from my 7900XTX to a 4090. As I have found that I require the software support that NVIDIA has, however I realise that I may be too late on this. Is my only option buying from sites such as Ebay and Facebook Marketplace?

Thanks.

Well. Even boutique custom system integrators like Allied Gaming (techfast parent compny) / Mwave no longer offer option of RTX 4090 in their systems. So whatever is left is now in the hands of scalpers and people trying to offload their 4090 for an eventual 5090 upgrade.

Production of high end 40 series card ended already since late last year.

    You can't

  • I got a 4090 Rog Strix with 5 year warranty for sale if that is what you're after.

    • How much you want for it though? As people on Facebook are asking for more than what it retailed for. Like $3.3K!!!!

  • I bought a "used - mint" condition 4090 off Amazon a few days ago. Hidden behind a "buying options" button, so the price wasnt displayed in initial search results. $2700 odd sold direct by Amazon. Keep an eye out there, they do pop up. This one was on the platform for a week before I pulled the trigger.

  • Supposingly if I have a computer shop, and I have any stock, I would export them into China for more profit instead of selling locally.
You can buy them from China if you really want them.
But production already stopped, so you won't really see many of them now.

Alternatively, try to see if you can find any local second hand ones.
I sold my own watercooled RTX4090 4 months ago when I upgrade to RTX5090.
It was sold very quickly, so I think you will be competing against lots of people.
And if you ever thought about NV-link two RTX3090, it's a horrible idea.

My advice is put your money aside and wait for black friday deals on RTX5080 or 5090.

    • best is get 5090 second hand before 6090 release
