Kinto Rental Excess Coverage from Third Party Insurance

General query regrading Car Rental Excess, if anyone know the answer.

I normally use the below car hire excess company to buy insurance, but not used for Kinto or Flexicar previously.

https://www.carhireexcess.com.au/

I am trying to find out whether this types of insurance will cover any insurance claim in case of any claimable event, but can't get any full proof answer from either Kinto or this insurance company.

Insurance company is saying if the car rental company is "Commercial Rental Motor Vehicle Company" you are covered like Hertz, Budget.

Approached Kinto and they say we are company run by Toyota for rental service.

If anyone has used such third part insurances to cover for Flexi/GoGet/Kinto, please share some feedback.

Stuck in this Insurance Policy statements what is covered or not.. please help.

Email: [email protected] and ask them if they cover Kinto. That's the only confirmation that matters and you'll have it in writing.

$19 a day to cover $4,000 excess, plus windscreen, tyres etc. seems too good to be true. They would need 210 sales to cover a single incident, unless they get insurance for their insurance to cover the insurance.

Alternatively, it's $25 a day to directly reduce excess from $3,000 to $550 if above doesn't cover it.

Can't comment specifically on the profitability or otherwise of this, but $19 a day adds up to $6,935 per annum if you take an alternative view. Obviously carshare arrangements have a different risk profile to private vehicles, but obviously your typical comprehensive cover costs much less than this for what would be similar vehicles.
