Looking for a CCTV Camera Deal with NVR – No Paid Subscription Required

ey everyone,

I’m in the market for a good CCTV security camera system and looking for recommendations on deals. I’ve been considering the Reolink RLK8-500B4 , but I’m open to suggestions on any latest models that offer similar features.

My key requirements:
✅ No mandatory paid subscription for cloud storage or basic features
✅ Wired PoE system (preferably with NVR)
✅ Good resolution (at least 5MP or higher)
✅ Reliable motion detection & alerts
✅ Night vision & remote access

I’d like to stay within a $700 budget, so if you know of any good deals or better alternatives, please share!

Thanks in advance. 😊

    $700 for 1 camera or 700

      $700 TOTAL mate

  • Have you found anything that fit your budget? Just the NVR + HD will put you closer to $700.

And how many camera you talking about ?

    • 4 cameras.

      • https://amzn.asia/d/bxj5U9s based on google AI 😅

        • "based on a SIMPLE google search" … AI not so much involved … as when I tried "incognito mode" - that store was at top of G results (after sponsored).

    Reolink

My recommendation would come to $867 delivered. Plus about $70 for ethernet cables unless you have some already.

    Reolink RLN8-410 NVR $323
Reolink CX810 POE Camera $136 x 4 = $544 (this is the discounted 20% price on Amazon and Reolink currently)

This will give you the best results night and day. If you buy a kit, night time performance will suffer a lot as it won't have the CX versions. If you can't afford the extra $170-$240 then just buy the NVR and 2 cameras and buy the extras later as you can afford. If you have to stick to your budget then buy 2 CX810 and get some 2nd hand cams for the backyard.
I've upgraded my cameras 3 times to get to this setup and I recommend saving money and just doing it right the first time. These models weren't out during my first 2 disappointing setups. There is the new CX820 turret version just released if you really want that style more than the bullet CX810, however expect stock in 2-50 weeks and maybe discounted or not.

    • Does that give you notifications if someone is spotted?

      • +1

Yes. Person, vehicle or pet. Can be time based so if it detects a person between 1am and 4am for instance it will send a notification but not other times. There's some new detections coming like boundaries and loitering etc that should increase usability even further.

    • Thanks, I like the Cx820 style, however no local stock as yet…

      • Just released in the US. I think the CX810 had a small amount available in AU about 2 weeks after US releae and then more a couple of weeks after that (previous products could take months to release in AU). There is a "Notify Me" button on the product page https://reolink.com/au/product/cx820/ where you can put in your email and they will email when available. It may have a discount or be at full price $169.99

  • Found this https://www.securitywholesalers.com.au/product/hilook-6mp-ac…

    need to add some storage

$540 + storage ($130 for 2TB?) = $670 bit more than the Reolink but another alternative that security installers seem to do
