Best small Android tablet?

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone can give me an idea on what the best small tablet is (smaller than 8 inch)

ipad mini is out based on its absurd price and poor screen.

Nexus 7 lacks a card slot which is a deal breaker for me.

I missed out on the toshiba excite 7.7 (at270) and Galaxy tab 7.7 deals. One of these two would be ideal, but they are either out of stock or overpriced.

Any idea of any similar tablets, or if these will pop up again for reasonable prices? or maybe a new model being released in the future?

Edit: The screen is also very important. The Toshiba and Samsung share a reasonably high Ppi AMOLED screen. The rules out the tab 2 7 (cruddy screen)

    Doesn't have a card slot :( . Not really a big fan of the heavily modified OS.

    Do you really need a card slot? I thought I did but the Nexus7 can do USB OTG if you really need to be carrying around heaps of data, but I've never felt the need in the end, except when travelling for a week+ and I use USB sticks in that case.

    I don't see a perfect 7" tab yet, but at least google is forcing the prices down.
