The controls on this bug me, long press on, long press to change brightness, short press off…

Personally I think the on and off should be the same long press…

    • I think its fine tbh, standard controls

      • I curse it every time I use it, lol… EVERY time I turn it off I end up doing a long press, then I have to go through all the brightness levels to get it back to where I usually have it, then short press to turn it off…

  • "it's too large" according to some ozbers who commented on a light I posted which had very similar dimensions.

for a good one I can recommend the Olight i3E which is often part of the "Free" with new account + $8 shipping promotion they run.

bit biased though because I have one but I think size is right doesn't feel "extra" on the keychain. it's twist to turn on so only one brightness but it's very decently bright the only down side might be the battery life about 70 mins (eneloop) about 45 mins (alkaline), but that's only if you plan to use it to walk somewhere or something.
I recommend you use eneloop because on alkaline the brightness drops as the battery gets lower.

for just "finding" stuff regularly like a few times a week, the battery lasts me about a month. and I always try to charge my stuff before the battery is completely dead.

Really good for a keychain edc that I kept on my belt for a while - until the cheap plastic mechanism of twist to take off wears out too quickly

  • "Only takes one hand to remove from keychain" on a product photo that literally shows two hands removing from keychain.
