Possibly, but you probably shouldn't.
You can slow charge, say 1-2A, using any generic 18V charger, but the PCX fast charger needs to read a temperature sensor in the battery for obvious reasons.
I doubt you will find an adapter that does this, even if they use the same thermistor type.
Aldi 8AH batteries $99, I saw today.
I would say No. There are many adapters available to allow you to mix and match the batteries and tools and they all seem to say you must not use them to charge the batteries.
