Petbarn: $40 off $80 Spend + Delivery & Fees @ Uber Eats

580

PetBarn has arrived at UberEats and it appears a targeted offer of $40 off $80 spend on pet supplies from PetBarn. Don’t forget to add in your PetBarn membership email to earn points too.

I gave it a go yesterday and it looks like the items are picked and packed by the PetBarn staff (unlike groceries where it’s the delivery person). Keep in mind items are based on whether it is in stock at your nearest PetBarn, to avoid getting stung on OOS items and losing your discount. My service fee came at $5.

  • I do not see that discount. Must be targeted.

    • at checkout?

      • Mine was in a teeny tiny banner where the products were listed.
Had to scroll through a bunch of other offers to get to it.

unlike groceries where it’s the delivery person

Only applicable for Coles I think. They used to do this for Woolies too but seem it's now been changed to Woolies staff. Other shop like IGA and Harris Farm it's always been their staff who pack the orders.

$40 off at Petbarn = RRP at most other places. I got $20 off my dog food recently and combined it with a targeted $20 email and finished $4 better off.
Always check 99petshops.com.au pricing before purchasing.

for sure. royal canning is 'always' 36% off and thats rrp elsewhere.
      petstock similar.
      i use pet circle usually.

    • Yeah, if it's not on sale don't buy it. And the moment you start looking at toys, tell yourself … "i can get this from Kmart"

      • +1

My dog is 7 years old and is a chewer/gnawer. Big W and Kmart dog toys last less than 10 minutes but the teddies for kids from Ikea, honestly she has never destroyed one of them. They have got a bit pricey over the years but usually i find the clearance ones.
Ropes and squeaky toys idk but for dog teddies i definitely recommend IKEA

they will price match anyone - never ever pay retail or even sale prices at petbarn.

at times ive even had them pricematch themselves as online price was much much cheaper than instore.

    • ..or google the item and use the Shopping tab in Google and compare the prices for price match at Petbarn

    • Doesnt apply for everything, just look online and compare. My litter came out to around 40% discounted compared to the cheapest other location. Add in the current 10% off uber giftcard deal and it is back to around 50% again.

thanks! got Nexgard Specta; shame can't pickup save extra $9 delivery + $5 service fee.

  • I got a 6 pack of Advocate for just under $50 delivered so I'm happy with that. Thanks OP.

    • +2

Have you tried Neovet? Its a generic advocate that is significantly cheaper and has the same ingredients. Petshops dont sell it but Amazon and Ebay do.

      • I have not but i will look into it. Thanks.

      • interesting never heard of Advocate and Neovet…especially the latter one being generic, is it same as simparica ?

        New dog owner here.

        • Yes, they do the same thing. But Simparica is given orally but the others are a spot treatment applied to the neck. I think Advocate protects against a few other worms but honestly im not 100% as I have always just used Advocate/Neovet.
Neovet however can be easily bought for around $40 for a small dog for a 6 month supply so I'm more likely to follow it monthly when it's only about $7 a month. The others are usually double the price.

          • @Puglife: Amateurs. Check out the cat versions of these products. Same ingredients and dose (the weights differ for cats and dogs so check the dose instead and match to the dogs weight) but far far cheaper.

            • @xsacha:

              Same ingredients and dose

Normally I would be a cheapskate on things like this but the cat version and dog version have different concentrations of Moxidectin and hence dose.

For cats, the formulation includes 100 mg/mL of Imidacloprid and 10 mg/mL of Moxidectin. In contrast, the dog formulation contains 100 mg/mL of Imidacloprid and 25 mg/mL of Moxidectin. So it's not something you can control by upping dosages.

Happy to go with the dog version at even the low risk of an expensive vet visit to save a few dollars.

      • The small dog version is great, but we tried the 25kg+ version and it's such a pain to apply.

Even using 3 application sites like recommended, it drips down the sides and leaves these wet streaks in their fur, which gets all over their bedding and anything they brush against (pants, couches, etc). I think it's just too viscous when it gets warm, and it stinks too.

A shame as it's well priced.

    • I didnt know that either. 3 pets 2 dogs 1 cat on advocate was costing me a fortune. Just ordered 6 months of Neopet on swaggle for half price. Thanks for the tip.

  • Thanks! I got the 6 pack of simparica trio for large dogs at $70.79 after service and delivery fees, which is cheaper than anywhere else I could find.

    • Same here thanks OP

Good for things like Breeders Choice Cat Litter 30L (plain one) which isn't always in stock at places nowadays and has gone up over time. 3x = ~$65.

Packing and delivery was done super fast.

  • i get the larger breed and cut the chews in half - then wrap it tight.
    anyone see an issue?

    • +2

      anyone see an issue?

Yes, they aren't designed for that, so the ingredients may not be evenly distributed. Ask your vet.

    • +2

That’s what I do too. Of course the manufactures don’t want you to do this and say ‘ingredients may not be evenly distributed’ but looking at the pill it’s completely uniform inside. Even if it wasn’t, anything they miss in this months pill they get next month 🤷🏼‍♂️

  • I usually get Nosh but they only have 1x packets listed not the bulk boxes
I had the offer but went back to look just now and not there..

  • wow got this thx OP

Question - my puppy now 13 weeks already more than 2.5kgs …just about to purchase the puppy version of Simparica but now i'm thinking should i just get the S size

Edit: ok just noticed the price on UberEat is insane! For e.g. 6 chews Simparica Trio is $70 on Pet Circle vs $187 on UberEat wtf

  • +1

Thanks, OP. The Petbarn/UberEats relationship seems strange. I understand that we need to keep our furry friends well fed, but it ain’t exactly warm meals arriving on the doorstep (which I’m sure they’ll go nuts for).

  • +2

    Dinner sorted thanks OP

  • Thanks OP. Got $80 of chilled dog food. Don’t feel like it was massively cheaper than just buying it from my local after Uber Eats tax and service charges.

Still saved me a trip out later on today 👍

  • Got some flea tablets. Petbarn markup is insane, but with the promo still worked out $10 cheaper than anywhere else.

  • Legend, thanks op. Got some taste of the wild for my wild ass cat.

  • Good deal, saving about $30 on my normal pet food.

  • Thanks, got some cans for my cat

  • With this offer my royal canin dry food 7.5kg is $80ish
At budget pet direct, with promotion, $67
    Duh….

  • +1

    Mine keeps getting cancelled.
Both for different brands of 12kg dog food.

    Poo to you, West Ryde!

At least tacking on the free delivery offer to Harris Farm got me a carton of eggs, finally.

  • +1

1 filler item cancelled so I was charged the amount without coupon.

Dodgy bastards. Not easy to raise a support issue either because I don't have a screen shot or promo code to give them

  • Think it may be expired now - saw it on my account the other day but now don't see it anymore 😓

  • thanks OP saved me a rush trip to petbarn - I had $40 off $100 offer, so 2 X bags of 2kg ragdoll food for $66 delivered, good price.

    • Except the cat food wasnt delivered - rather a breakfast burrito was delivered. My cats were dissapointed (but not as dissapointed as the poor hungover soul who received 4 kg of cat biscuits for breakfast). Lost my discount code :-(
