That is the going price at alot of my local butchers. Sometimes they drop it to $10 per kg
supermarket lamb is fairly ordinary.. Costco lamb is good, and it was $17/kg boneless leg so much tasty

The title says save $8.40/kg. The actual saving is $3.00/kg. And in reality its $12 a kg every other week anyways!

There was a huge surplus during winter and Woolworth did not even reduce the price. Food wastage is definitely happening and it needs to be investigated. The amount of good food these supermarkets dump in the bin is INSANE.
It's a business decision: what is the adverse impact on the TOTAL-sales: if they're on sales @ a BIG-discount vs dump-them?
In MY-metro-area, Coles/WW give-away food to organisations such as Food-Bank & OzHarvest…I did charity work in 2022 & have picked up food from them.
I've also picked up directly from Coles/WW, mainly past best-before date. On the day AFTER-BB date & if food is not picked up, eg week-end, they're throw-away.
EACH-store CAN have different rules & policy do changes over time.

Been $12 kg for months of and on no deal & same at coles it's just there marketing .
