Only 44%?
It would be interesting to see a performance comparison between the standard game and a copy with Denuvo removed.

Yeah, just a problem for the poors trying to play this game max settings, definitely.
Don't forget to trade them in, that part may be patched too.
The game really doesn't like older CPUs. Not talking about ancient CPUs. A few generations back. For example, tested it on my second PC which has a Ryzen 5 2600 (paired with an RTX 3080 and 32gb ram) and it struggles even on lowest settings.
The minimum requirement they listed for CPU is 3600. Why would you try it with a 2600?
This game was made for Zen 2 CPUs and over, since that’s what the PS5 and current-gen Xboxes use.
Happy to wait for a proper steam sale price.
Fanatical isn't one of those dodgy key seller stores, but you are losing out on the 2 hour automatic refund if you purchase via them if that's what you are concerned about.
Nah just waiting for a better price
I’m happy to wait a while longer until it reaches bargain-bin prices.
So tempted!!!
even big w had it for $89..
isnt that the ps5 version ?
I purchased full price on steam!Fak me!
I hope you've learned your lesson, apprentice OzBargainer.
Similar stores like this like green man gaming are always where I buy from when I want to play Monster Hunter on release.
Its $88+ on green man gaming
sir we need to revoke your OzB privileges
People who can run this game properly don't care about saving $20.
I care because I can save it for lunch. TT
Is this a good game for beginners?
Edit: as in new to MH
Kinda. It punishes button-mashers. You will have to learn the monster's move-sets just as much as your own. The earlier monsters are easy, they get gradually difficult.
Thankfully there's NPCs you can call for help and they never die, which takes the attention off yourself allowing you to get more hits in.
Everyone was new to MH once. The game will frustrate you at times in the beginning, but when you get better it's a lot more fun.
😂 is it harder than WuKong
Haven't played it. I only buy single-player games on a discount.
Its not easy but not hard. Definitely easier than Wukong and more beginner friendly than previous installments like MH Worlds
MH theme music plays in my head as i read your comment
I've tried a lot of the older MH games (PC, 3DS etc) and always ended up bouncing off of them. This is the first in the series I actually played through fully (campaign). It actually helped me finally understand wtf the game is about so now I'm temped to go back and play the older games in the series. I def recommend it to new comers.
Also thank you. Got a jb gift voucher wonder if they price match
I tried before but failed. They only price match physical copy seller 😭
yes, its way bit easier and difficulty is more streamlined.
I am enjoying it so far.
I played MH World for a bit and didn't get into it - not sure if this is more accessible or I just am more invested into learning the mechanics this time.
i got it for $59 at jb hifi the other day - steelbook edition
PC though?
how did u get it for so cheap ?
Watch before you buy videos on youtube
On launch has pretty bad FPS, then day later realised didn't update my Nvidia driver. Since then removed all of the main issues.
That's myself with the a 1300 pc from ozbargain with amd and 4060ti, playing on high at 4k
Why do you feel the need to either lie or embellish to defend the atrocious technical state of the game relative to other comparable AAA open world games?
You do know sites like YouTube/Billibilli exists which provides actual video & test benchmarks of the actual game including as recent as couple days ago for 4060Ti?
I did a casual lookup and 4060Ti can’t even do DLAA 1440p more than 40FPS dipping sub 30, DLSS Q 1440p average 40FPS dipping to low 30s & highs of 45FPS…
Yet apparently you’re claiming 4K high settings… Btw I tested the beta on a Legion Pro 7i (4090M/13900HX) which is additionally undervolted & GPU clocks OC. For reference my laptop performs better then 4070Ti and within 10% of 4080 desktop. Yet on MHW, I could not do 4K high settings DLSS Q/B for anything remotely close to 60FPS.
Okay when I get home will screenshot my settings, geez -4
They just said “high at 4k”, no mention of frame rate or DLSS… probs running at ultra performance for a 30fps target lol
price has been $86 on fanatical forever btw… its not new.
One of the best games you can get in this day and age if your PC can run it. Have thousands of hours in past titles all the way back to 4U.
My 12800k+3700 was able to run the beta on medium very smoothly, but all my friends are on PS5, so been playing the PS5 version.
This is the best entry for newcomers IMO. They tweaked a lot of the mechanics to make it more accessible, and since it only goes up to high rank, it's not like G/Master rank expansions of past titles where you struggle so much with endgame content, like there was only a very small percentage of people who could solo kill Fatalis in Monster Hunter World. For someone who's favourite games are MH, this game is a tad too easy even in the endgame compared to past titles. So I look forward to the Master Rank expansion very much.
Please note the story/campaign is only a tutorial to get you into the door. The end of the story is the end of low rank. You go into high rank right after which is where the game (to us at least) begins.
ooooh thats a great price. amazing game despite all the optimisation issues and turning my PC into a heater.
The one downvote was from Nata "Leave Arkveld alone!"
remaining 44% complaining that their GT 710 2GB is unable to run the game in 4k maxed settings.
Anyway, back to infinite deco farming
