  yes that is the latest.
  hint when confuse: check the processor (also camera MP)
  latest is A6X

    Also check the connector if you can't see the spec — 4th gen uses the smaller Lightning connector.

    Unlikely. What is it that you might do that you think you can't do on the current one? Same applies to 3/4, there isn't a huge difference (though there is between 2 and 3).

      cant read future but true about 3 &4, i made right decision only upgraded my 1st to 3rd after 4th came out
      well, some people like to have the latest, if you are, then dont worry about $ :)

  3 is not being sold any more unless on clearance. Think they only sell the 2 and 4 at themoment.
