Xbox Gamepass Ultimate, Best Current Method?

What is the current best method, for someone that has no xbox sub at all, for getting xbox gamepass ultimate cheaply? Is it VPN, is it stacking methods etc? I believe they changed policy or something…

    Not a guaranteed method by any means, but:

    During one of the last time it was run, the Shapes XBOX completion topped me up to about 3 years.

    There must have been a bug in the system at the time because with every entry, I won a months GPU. As Shapes were on sale at $2 a box, i bought heaps and topped up.

    I and my wife also ended up both winning an Xbox Series X.

    Total cost to me was $60 (for 30 boxes).

    Shapes currently have another xbox competion but bug is fixed and my current entry win rate is about 1 in 4 for monthly GPU.

      Local IGA has them for $2 a box. Will grab some later to test it out. Even at 1 in 4 it's a win.

        They are also in Coles catalogue for $2 beginning tomorrow.

      Came here to say this! Stock up on shapes.

    • +1

      Great deal. Just don't know what I will do with all the Shapes.

      Update: Shapes contest is for PC gamepass, not Gamepass Ultimate

      • Yes, this is correct. I was too focused on winning the Xbox Series X

        I just checked my email winnings and this time around it's PC Game Pass :(

        As it were, I have about 14 GPU keys in my inbox (unused), but they expired recently and can't be used.

      • Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

    • That comp says PC gamepass? Does it work on Xbox?

      I have barely touched my Series X in years but wouldn't mind finishing the latest Indiana Jones. Don't really want to pay for game pass though.

        Correction: The current Shapes competition is PC Game Pass, not the previous GPU

    • +1

      CORRECTION: The current competition is only for PC Game Pass, not mentioned GPU. I am completely full up on GPU so didn't pay attention to the vouchers that were being sent to me.

      With that number of boxes of shapes, your username checks out

      Also, this is the most OzB thing I’ve ever seen haha

    Update: Bought 4 boxes of shapes yesterday.
    Won 1 month PC gamepass and today won Xbox 1tb

    • This is great!

      As earlier posts, i won as well last competion. Took ages for unit to arrive though, but eventually did.

      • Yeah, I finally got tracking on it today. Should arrive Monday.

  • +1

    Bummer I bought like 10 boxes and haven't won anything.

  • I bought 4 boxes today from Woolies cos saw they were $2. I was worried when I got home only one of the packs had the promo stuff on it (oops). Doesn’t matter though.

    Won nothing so far… hopefully an Xbox tomorrow 🤣

      I got home only one of the packs had the promo stuff on it (oops)

      Doesn't matter. Only the receipt matters.

      • 4 on the same receipt… you enter the comp 4 times uploading the same receipt right? Felt a bit odd, was hoping just to select a quantity lol.

        • That's what I have been doing. Although I've stopped buying them now. Didn't get the 4:1 ratio on gamepass. Closer to 10:1. A second xbox would've been nice but oh well.

          • @Bruceflix: Yeah not really worth it at that ratio. If it covered the cost of PC game pass then it’s a win.

  • +1

    Applied 11 times and got nothing. Not worth it.

    • I have PC Gamepasses to spare if you want.

      • I'm chasing one if you have any spare, thanks.

  • So you can upload these in bulk or does it have to be one per day

    • +1

      You can only enter one product at a time

      • But you can go straight back in and enter another, and another, and another. As long as the docket says 6xArnott's Shapes, you can enter 6 times. Or do 4 today and 2 tomorrow.

        • yes and yes

  • TLDR: GPU quests+Bing Rewards=about $20.30 credit/month (GPU for $2.65/month!)

    Longer read:
    I visited the Sydney Microsoft store and the staff gave me a promo card with one free month of GP Ultimate. Once redeemed, I found if I do every GPU quest/Bing search to maximise my Microsoft Rewards I can redeem 850 points for $1.25 of Microsoft promo gift cards to my MS account approximately every 2 days (sometimes less than 2 days) so I estimated it is around $18 per month of Microsoft promotional credit. I later realised $5/10 promo cards give a discount so they are better value. Note that daily quests include 15min console usage and 15min PC game usage using game pass games, but you can open the games and go AFK so that part doesn't take much time each day. It is best to play 8 GP games per month to maximise points. The redeemed cards go to your linked MS account as wallet credit (but note that it is promo credit with 90 day expiry). From what I've read this can be used to pay Ultimate GP, so instead of $22.95/month, it effectively becomes about $2.65/month.

    Point calculations for Total Points Earned Per Month
    * Bing/mobile searches: 150 points/day * 30 days = 4500 points
    * MS rewards daily set/activities: 500 points/week * 4 weeks = 2000 points
    Search streaks:
    * 150 points/8 days * 30 days = 562.5 points
    * 100 points/7 days * 30 days = 428.57 points
    * 1000 points/12 weeks * 4 weeks = 333.33 points

    • PC/console GP usage: 30 points/day * 30 days = 900 points
    • GP usage: 300 points/week * 4 weeks = 1200 points
    • GP streaks: 400 points/week * 4 weeks = 1600 points
    • GP streaks (monthly): 400 points/month = 400 points

    Summing these up, the total points earned per month is approximately 11,924 points.

    Equivalent Dollar Value of MS Promo Gift Cards
    Given the conversion rate of 850 points = $1.25, the equivalent dollar value of MS gift cards would be:
    11924/850 × 1.25 ≈ $17.54

    So, you would earn around $17.54 worth of MS gift cards per month (if using $1.25 cards) or $20.30 if using $5/$10 promo cards which have a discount.

    I'm not sure, but am guessing this may stack with the Core conversion to Ultimate trick where you get 15 days Ultimate instead of 30 days Core.

      Having found the "magical (100% win)" time to lodge my entries in the Shapes competition i find $2 (price of Shapes) the best value for 30 days of PC Gamepass which converts to 20 days of GPU. Plus you also get diabetes with all those shapes.

      • Do tell…
        Or PM me once you've claimed the full 36months and it'll be our little secret.

  • Damn, I bought 8 boxes and got 0 PC gamepasses.

    Would anyone be happy to spare their PC gamepasses for me?
