  • I picked up the purple one for $29 a month or two back. I thought it did a good job for a cheap steamer. For anyone like me that has not used a steamer previously, I think this a good starter.

  • I bought it for $49 and tried it on a pretty rumpled polo shirt. It worked pretty well, though only just $49 worth, so this is a better grab.

  • Hate normal ironing. Got one to steam work shirts. Hopefully quicker. Thanks OP.

  • Thanks OP, ordered!

  • Someone might say the steam rate 20g/min is too low when comparing to the sunbeam 90g/min one. Maybe it can do the job in a slower way and more efficient.

    • This is small and portable. Different use cases imo. This is good for traveling etc, very easy to throw it in your suit case/travel bag. You can't do that with the bigger, standard size steamers.

      • Since this one is foldable, it suits travel better. For me I need one for home use so this can be a good start and see if I need to upgrade later. Been eyeing on the sunbeam 90/min for a while but the price is firm.

  • Thanks I’ll return my Auselect (Heymix) one for this lol

  • Was looking for my first ever steamer, cheers OP!

  • Apparently some cruise ships will confiscate these.

  • Thanks OP going to try this out.

  • Thank you op. Got one.

  • Ordered one but wondering if I should order a Xiaomi one from AliExpress instead… slightly cheaper with new user discount and cashback offers. Bigger capacity too

  • This is a very good steamer, almost instant warm up time and consistent steam. Good find.

  • Thanks boys. I was so close to buying this the other day too 🥳🥳

  • Thanks, got one.

  • got one in time for mothers day

  • Thanks OP. Got one for my mum.
She’s recently been eyeing a steamer for her dresses!

  • Is steaming as effective as ironing for creases on the clothes?

    • +1

I've got a Russell Hobbs steamer (only got it recently) and it's 30g/min, 1800w. I have only used it twice but it feels like it takes forever.

I prefer to just set the ironing board up in front of my PC on a Sunday arvo, put my noise cancelling headphones on and watch YouTube while I iron my 10 or so shirts for the week.

The wife wanted it for her work so it wasn't my idea to purchase it, but steamers are not for me.

Same is my thought. How can it remove the creases as good as an iron where there's literally no surface contact or pressure!

        • You literally need to rub it against the garment for it to be any effective. But even so, it takes much longer than iron. Its advantage is using on delicate clothes or take it on a holiday due to its weight.

  • OOS….
