Solar Panels and Battery Installation - Finance Suggestions

I was wondering if there were any recommendations to finance solar installation.

I'm with NAB for my mortgage and they don't offer "green loans".

***UPDATE I decided to just go with solar panels at this stage. Thank you for the advise

    Instillation

    Installation **

    • Instillation refers to the introduction of a liquid, like medication, into a body cavity or space, typically drop by drop.

Could be relevant if it's a Tesla battery. First in was mind control microchips. It's likely in liquid form by now.

If you need to take a loan out to get Solar and/or Batteries, don't bother. By the time you pay off the system via a loan arrangement + interest, you don't get the benefit.

If you really want to try and get benefit, just go Solar Panels on a small cheapish system. Batteries are expensive. I got a cheap 6.6kw system for $3,500 out of pocket 4 years ago. I've already paid the system off from its benefit. I would go a battery, but the size I would need and the cost associated would not be a benefit.

with FiT dropping to next to nothing it probably makes more sense to get batteries without solar just to avoid those awful peak prices.

    • I assume that was for my reply?

In terms of paying off the system, I've paid it off with the savings not the FiT. I pretty much use what I generate. Its all well and good to get batteries, but depending on people's consumption it could be expensive. I would need a big battery to survive the night.

You should not be financing a battery, solar is the only one that will give you a return.

use your offset if you have it and pay cash.

depends if you want to use electricity overnight.

IMF, BlackRock or Vanguard for free green money ;)

As far as batteries, grab some flow batteries! Cheaper, holds a charge longer and will last longer ;)

We have 4 x 10KwH and they last all night with 3 air-cons on …
