Mazda CX-5 - Sat Nav SD Card

Fellow CX-5 owners, has anyone here successfully purchased a third party Sat Nav SD card and got it working? For example:

Seems US based CX-5 owners have done this and saved a few hundred dollars that Mazda dealerships were charging them for this.

Looking for Sat Nav SD card for 2024 Mazda CX-5 10.25 inch display for AUS maps, but no luck so far.

So we only get the free map for certain year, right? After that we need to py? What a jerk… mine is still brand new less than a year

    • First three years of map updates are free.

      • is it? I haven't used the dealer servicing

        • Yes, you can update the map online. The dealer won't do that for you unless you ask.

I tried to use the satnav on the new Mazda6 once. The experience was a trip back to the time of my first Garmin car navigator from 2008. That was my first and last attempt to use this tech dinosaur. Google maps on my phone is the way.

  • Just use car play
Do you have the turbo model?

i paid to retrofit my 2017 CX5 with the Mazda carplay module. I think it was about $500. The built in mazda system is pretty woeful.

Not Mazda, but our newest vehicle has wireless carplay and wired android auto plus built in factory nav. Have used the factory nav once when there was no cable for my phone. It wasnt a great experience. Using phone apps is 100% easier.

  • I've used Navi-World twice for other Mazdas. Would purchase from them again. Good friendly support.
