This is my last ditch attempt before I let this go. I purchased a Samsung 55" S90D TV QA55S90DAWXXY for $2,673 on 10th Feb 2025 from Appliances Online. Their price changed to $2073 approx 27 days later and Samsung/Bing Lee’s price had dropped to $1788. I contacted support and they politely advised they could not refund the difference as it was outside their 14 day policy. I tried the “I’m a repeat customer” angle and they would not budge.
I used my St George Amplify Signature credit card but it doesn’t appear to have price protection as some other cards provide.
It’s my mistake to become impatient after waiting a month for the price to drop and deciding to pay $2673 at the time. A $885 difference is a bitter pill to swallow. I understand if the ozbargain community would prefer I delete my account as I have bought shame to the true bargain hunters. In saying that, any ideas or advice are appreciated before I let this become a life lesson.
