Does anyone know of a way to get a decent discount on the Fenix 8 series? other than going through marketplaces like eBay etc.
Garmin sadly doesn't look like it offers education discounts in AU and I haven't seen any retailers that I could price match with JB/Officeworks.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Yikes, I remember reading about the bugs during launch. Was hoping it was all software and would be resolved over time.
One option, if available to you, is to go through a private health insurer (if you have one). BUPA, for example, can give up to (depends on the plan you're on) 25% off Garmin retail. Some other private health's do similarly.
Thats a pretty good perk! I wonder if its a link that can be shared. Unfortunately I moved away from BUPA a year ago.

Garmin watches got stuck in blue triangle of death logo this year - some people had to factory reset and lose data, JFC.
I dearly wanted to like this watch and been keeping an eye for discounts. If Garmin expects people to drop 2K on a watch it had better work perfectly - same goes for 2K phones.

Hmm what data did they lose? Isn't the watch regularly in sync with their phone?
I had the Epix Pro gen 2 during the blue triangle fiasco and I wasn't affected luckily.
Also on the Fenix 8 Pro, the regular model is nearing 2k which is really stretching it as it is.
JB corp store does discounts, though sadly not for the Enduro 3 which is what I have been after.
