Jeanswest Enters Administration - Physical Stores to Close

ADABEA, this time it’s JeansWest.

Fashion retailer Jeanswest will close all brick-and-mortar stores and cut hundreds of jobs as its parent company enters administration.

The brand's parent company Harbour Guidance have appointed administrators at Pitcher Partners Melbourne to restructure the business.

While the company's 90 physical stores will close, it is not yet known if the brand and its online store will remain open.

Jeans West currently employs more than 600 staff.

The company had previously been placed in administration in 2020, with the administrators now saying that trading conditions had become increasingly tough.

I'm sure Kogan will buy the brand name like every other failed business from the 1990's and reintroduce it with horrible service and sneaky/illegal monthly subscription payments. So it's not all bad news.

      Top line.

Per capita we're good as in one.

I suspect with the influx of food delivery skilled migrants all the money is heading into the food delivery business. I am beginning to see e-bike deliveries for likes of hungry Panda 20km+ from Melbourne CBD. Soon they'll be doing rural deliveries.

        Haha,

        Love it.
And the fact that unemployment is creeping up means they can't just dilute it out with more immigration this time as there's literally not more jobs to be made.

It has also come to attention that high house prices are strangling people's ability to start businesses (because people are either paying mortgages or sky high rents).

APRA regulatory regime says home loans are safer for bank capital requirements so basically banks are conducting unproductive lending.
