Note they charge $3000-$5000 excess per claim…

What do they charge if you tell them to GoGet f…??

      • Agree no more. They should change their name to GoFu… or GoHum…

    • That's the standard excess

Avis, Hertz, etc excess is even higher than that when renting a car (unless you pay the extra to reduce it just like the car share services also offer)

Avis, Hertz, etc excess is even higher

That's covered by most travel insurance. This isn't

        • Not all hire car rentals are for holiday travel though

          • @AJ73: True, some are for business travel.

They also pass on parking fines even if you didnt book their cars. Check out productsreview.

Sorry Scotty, my vote is not directed at you but at Goget

The member who had the booking at the time of the fine (or had the prior booking if the car gets ticketed after their booking) gets it passed on to them, not like they just send some random the parking fine

That review on productsreview doesn't really make much sense unless NSW councils have a totally different approach to car share services

Here in Victoria (and also in South Australia) the dedicated carshare bays are clearly marked on the road and there is also a sign stating which brand the bay is for so and at times there are a couple of carshare bays together so you need to make sure you are returning the car to the right spot

If someone else is parked in that bay when your booking ends they clearly advise you to park somewhere else nearby that is free parking

That has been the case of NSW as well. Car sharing companies have their cars in the marked council spot, but once in a while someone else took the place. They actually have a process for that. It's not ideal because those council spot usually got parked because people can't find other street parking so it would be difficult for the GoGet user to find parking nearby either.
