Glenmorangie 10 Y/O 700ml - $49.99 (Melbourne) - Nicks Wine Merchants

110

I think this is the best price I have ever seen this scotch in a retail shop in Australia.
In my opinion, the best of the entry level single malts. (prefer this over glenlivet 12 / glenfiddich 12 etc)

If you spend over $200 at Nicks you get free delivery to most of Australia.
Dan Murphys currently has this at $62.99 - I am sure they will be happy to discount you in Melbourne.

Happy drinking :P (if a safe/responsible way of course)

A reviewer says that this is a 'breakfast' malt. Lol. Wow. Very decadent indeed…

From tNic's page: … almost a breakfast malt, it is uncommonly soft and light yet carries a real jam and marmalade character. 88.5 points - Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2012

      • I am sure it is smooth enough for breakfast.
I can only hope that I too one day wake up and reach for a bottle of this straight away.

        • haven't we all had a scotch for breakfast at least once?

        • not sure it was 19 y/o glenfiddich though….

  • I just picked one of these up in store, will be having my first single malt experience tonight. Thanks for the heads up.

    • and?

      • Very nice, I drank it neat (of course) which is going to take a bit of getting used to. The next mission is to get some decent glasses rather than drinking it from cheapo Ikea glasses, thinking these might be a good option: http://www.wwrd.com.au/royal-doulton-manhattan-tumbler-set-o…
