MacBook Pro Base 24GB RAM or MacBook Pro M4 Pro Chip Base?

Hi Guys,

I am confused, should I get Macbook M4 Pro Base or Macbook?

I want a good screen which ofcourse is Macbook pro but if I upgrade the RAM to 24 GB its almost 2649 and base model pro m4 pro chip is like 3099.

Can Base model macbook pro handle like 50 different tabs opened?

Also 96watt charger yae or nae

Any deals or Ideas for discount will also be appreciated.

Thank you

  • The MBP with Pro or Max chip has better screen, get that over the regular MBP with just regular M chip.

$3,000 on a laptop to browse the internet…

      50 tabs though.

I spent 4.5, best decision I've ever made. Well, not the worst anyway. Slow computers drive me insane, getting the will to work is hard enough as it is without your computer fighting against you.

      That's Apple customers for you.

  • I am leaning heavily to buy the base model M4 pro because I really do want good speakers and screen.
Does anyone know any good deals or something?
Thank you all again for responses.

    • Go for the base m4pro this performance jump is significant and it has two fans instead of one for the regular m4.

I really do want good speakers and screen.

They don't look at a laptop. Get a Mac Mini, and third-party monitor and speakers. laptop is always a compromise.

Heck, even if you do need a laptop, get the external dock, speakers, monitor and keyboard for your main location (home/office).

  • I went with the base M4 and upped the ram to 24gb, it will suit what I need.

Hi, Unless you are messing around with compiling/testing apps, vms & AI models or do a lot of 3d modeling you will do fine with the Macbook Pro M4 10/10 16gb, Go to the Macbook Pro m4 Pro 12/14 24gb if you're actually going to be pushing the limits on that 16gb with your work load The ram will also be faster and have better cooling power, the processor will make a differance with large work tasks, but in 99% of peoples cases most people will not need the 24gb.

If you're on a budget but still think you will need that ram go with the 24gb upgrade to the base M4 It will still do really well for professionals compared to the m4 pro
