    will this add girth

    • +1

depends on the way you train, your daily physical activity and your body (Thyroid function , etc)

for myself, i never add girth when im on weight gainers

  • Not sure if you can get protein in from the USA. Check link http://www.iherb.com/Prohibited-Australia.

    • The items are listed are ok to ship
iHerb will block the item in the cart if its prohibited

I was surprised that iherb wont ship optimum nutrition proteins to Oz

It takes 3 seconds to find out you can. http://www.daff.gov.au/aqis/faqs

If you look on the back of the protein label on the iherb website the muscletech masstech contains whey, when it gets to Aust they will seize it and you will be out of pocket. Unless it does slip through the cracks.

The muscle tech stuff contains lecithin which is a prohibited substance to import in Australia.

  • Thanks OP! For those that are worried about customs, I have purchased a tub of Mass Tech from bodybuilding.com before and it arrived no problems at all. I'm pretty sure it's going to be the same with iHerb I hope. :)

Just eat more food. Better than a mass gainer powder.

    • +1

Calorie equivalent , its cheaper to have a mass gainer than eat food , im not saying dont eat food but have it between meals to boost your caloric intake. They are a cheap way for increasing calorie intake especially with the prices on iherb

i.e. A standard meal that would provide you with same nutrient content would cost you > $8

        But, would be much healthier….

        • +3

true , but if your a busy person, its a easy and quick way to sneak some extra calories

        • +2

aren't we all busy people. tired? stressed? human? you'll feel better on swiss

      • smash a half tub of cream if you want calories+prots. or full fat yoghurt if your feeling guilty. or 50% less fat if you're feeling more guilty. or fat free yoghurt if you're dumb

        • I must be quite dumb then..

      • Pork belly can be had for as little as $6/kg at meat factories and has 500 calories per 100g.

Just get 3kg of that and roast in oven at 150c for 3 hours and that'll keep for 5 days in the fridge. Most of the fat will cook out of the meat if roasted for 3 hours. That'll put on some decent mass. Good source of zinc as well.

  • Is this cheap and decent? COnsidering getting one. Never used any kinds of workout supplements before, but feels like im peaking with my workouts. Any advice and recommendations?

    • Its is cheap when you compare it to aussie prices and factor in the cheap shipping for bulky items.

In regards to weight gainers, they are a combination of complex slow release carbs and protein isolates and concentrates. In most cases, the caloric intake is equivalent to one meal and theoretically will help you put some bulk on

  • Worth noting the insane serving sizes which gives the figures of 1000 calories and 60g protein per serve - 255g per serving (regular protein powder is 42g per serve)

You only get 13 servings with this, which is less than 2 weeks worth, whereas a 2.5kg bag from protein direct will last me months.

    • with a realistic serving size: 10.5g protein, 166 calories. Much lower than what you'd get from protein direct. I'll just stick with PD and add 3tbsp oil to my shakes (+~400 calories).

      • Woah crazy you add oil to your shakes? How does it taste? Have you tried adding some oats or almond meal?

        • adding oil actaully is tasteless if u have flavoured protein. srs.
          did it many times.

  • Nice use of the DHL deal especially since higher shipping costs normally would mean that these items wouldn't be so viable to ship here.
