Redsbaby SKIP² Stroller $314 & 30% off SKIP² Accessories + Shipping @ Redsbaby

90

The SKIP2 is their outgoing model, which has recently been superseded by the SKIP3 (which is $499 new).

Only potentially real-world differences I can see from a quick look are:
- Basket: 2 = 5kg, 3 = 8kg
- Seat capacity: 2 = 20kg, 3 = 22kg
- Weight: 2 = 6.9kg, 3 = 6.6kg

The rest looks pretty similar for all intents and purposes. Comes with a carry-handle and cover for airports etc.

Accessories are also 30% off, including an organiser, UPF screen and foot-warmer.

Price doesn't include shipping, was $20 for me to outer-city.

Hi OP (new dad here), would you consider this pram good for overseas travel?

    • Hi @Teddy21,
      New dad here too.
It’s marketed as being their travel pram, light and small enough when folded to fit in an overhead luggage carrier.
Yet to receive ours, so can’t offer any real world advice, apologies

We brought ours for overseas travel, first trip was at 6 months, folds up well on the plane and made going though airports so much easier when you can just unfold and get the baby in before going though customs and getting bags etc, especially late at night when it was past bed time so he could sleep.

The clips take a little getting used to but once you have done it a couple of times it's fine but the fact they only clip in one way still trips me up.

We also got the UV shade cover which was pretty handy in hotter climates, we had a couple of beach/beer days and our son was happy to sleep in the pram under there. We also use the pram 3 or 4 days a week for daycare days and quick trips into the supermarket, have put a fair bit of milage on it and no issues.

When travelling, compared to a regular pram the main thing that's a bit harder is navigating poorly maintained streets and footpaths the wheels get caught a bit due to the size but expect that's an issue with most strollers. Cobble streets in Europe would be an absolute no go.

    • Hi @Teddy21,

Dad of two here and a frequent traveler, we've taken this pram on countless trips, and it's been an absolute game changer. It’s lightweight, super compact, folds easily, and most importantly, the kids find it comfy. I can’t recommend it enough for travel! Just make sure you bring the travel bag.

      • Would it suit for newborns?

        • It has a “lay flat” option for newborns, but the SKIP3 seems to be more newborn friendly feature-wise. Up to you if that is worth $300 more (with extra flat bassinet included)

Worth noting this is not one hand operation to pack down. Very very useful when on the move with only one hand free and need to quickly fold down (which is very likely given you are travelling).

  • Thanks bought that and the rain cover for an extra 20

  • Thanks OP been waiting for this to get a decent discount.

  • I've had this pram for about 3 years and can recommend. We've used it overseas several times and love it. I prefer to use it for day to day use over the bigger metro which we also have.
