I have been buying 4 star beef mince from Aldi for a few years now to make hamburgers for the family. Normally when I BBQ the burgers I never got fat flareups. Over the past few months there have been fat flareups from the burgers which I think may have been due Aldi increasing the fat levels in its 4 star mince.
Is there a standard for how much fat should be in the mince for 2 to 5 star mince or is it a voluntary code?
Can anybody tell me if Coles or Woolies are relatively consistent with keeping their 4 star mince at the low end as far as fat levels are concerned?
