Tasting notes from the producer:

Yarra Yering Agincourt 2019 is a refined and elegant red wine from the Yarra Valley, blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Shiraz. This wine is known for its balance, complexity, and ability to age gracefully.

On the nose, Yarra Yering Agincourt 2019 offers a rich bouquet of dark fruits such as blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum, complemented by herbaceous notes and hints of spice. Subtle oak influence adds depth, with aromas of cedar and a touch of vanilla, enhancing the wine's complexity.

On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with a seamless integration of ripe dark fruits, chocolate, and a fine layer of spice. The tannins are structured and firm, yet smooth, providing a balanced mouthfeel, while the wine’s acidity adds freshness and vibrancy. The finish is long and persistent, with lingering flavours of black fruit and a touch of earthiness.

Yarra Yering Agincourt 2019 pairs wonderfully with hearty dishes such as roasted meats, lamb, grilled steaks, or rich cheeses. Its excellent structure and depth make it suitable for cellaring, with the potential to develop further complexity over the years.

  • Good price for those who like this wine. Price match in Dan Murphy will come down to $58.90 each.

  • +1

Dan's only price match a certain distance from offering store so ok if on bne.

  • Imagine if agincourt happened out the back of coldstream

  • Thanks OP. Grabbed 6.

    3 of the 2018 and 3 of the 2019.

    • Great spotting as Google says 2018 was a slightly better vintage than 2019 in the Yarra Valley for reds.

At over 6 years old I would be tempted to open a 2018 and sit back for the rest to develop another decade or more.

  • Thanks. Grabbed a few to try.

  • Great winery and a nice solid blend.

  • Sense of Taste have had some cracking deals recently, not just this one. With a visit
