Still looking a good receipt for a creamy ice cream
mine always turns out too icy or powdery
You interested in reading recipe books that go through the science of it and tell you what ice cream needs to be good?
If so read Hello my name is ice cream
And try some of the recipes
Mine always seem to come out of the machine creamy, but sometimes get too hard once if I put into the freezer. Really depends on the recipe (pure dairy vs custard base vs sorbet), and additions (most of my fruit ice creams come out softer).
I've been watching Polar Ice Creamery and the Ice Cream Queen on YouTube… tried a few recipes and they've all turned out well.
Main thing is to get your sugars, fat, water and solids levels correct
Good to test out if you would use ice cream maker machines often enough and see if a larger investment in a larger machine is what you would end up using regularly…
The K-mart one works really well for small batches.
The Ninja ice-creami works completely different to all the known usual/standard ways of making ice cream, in that the ingredients are frozen before use.I got a Cuisinart cool scoops plus brand new at salvos for $25 and love it. No compressor but makes great ice cream. Expensive hobby though. But the taste and quality is worth it, so much better than anything in the supermarket.

Ice Cream Science review (2023)
https://www.icecreamscience.com/blog/the-best-ice-cream-make…My $49 Anko one from target is totally doing the job
Same here. Perfectly happy with mine!
This or 4 $49 Kmart ones?
Or just spend $5 to $10 on a bucket at colesworths
this or 25-40 colesworth buckets?
Just buy 470 soft serves from Maccas
If you use it with any regularity, this one is absolutely worth the price.
This was available for a short time (less than 1 week) and was a clearance price so you can't get it now. Your question is stupid.
I got this the last time it was posted.
The downsides so far for me are the 2 hour fridge time for the basic recipe, and getting it out of the tub and into a container.
The 2 hour time means there has to be some fore-thought given, but apparently it makes for better ice cream.
We made the basic vanilla recipe first, and it was pretty good. Second time, we added a teaspoon of peppermint, some green food colouring, and a cup of chocolate bits. Tastes great as well, but will use less chocolate next time.
The silly things? Calling for 625ml of cream, when it comes conveniently packaged in 600ml bottles. The results were still good, though.

Mind sharing? Tried one with the Kmart one but it came out pretty icy after being in the freezer. And heaps online either use eggs or precooking.

The Simple Vanilla Ice Cream is what we started with. Haven't tried any of the others yet.
I also can't be bothered with cooking. Far too easy to cock it up …
it came out pretty icy after being in the freezer
Same even the most simple one.
What do you mean "after being in the freezer" ?
Just make the ice cream, take it out of the machine, and eat it. If you have leftovers for the freezer then you made too much.
Homemade is always going to freeze more solid than storebought with thickeners/stabilisers.
The answer is take it out 15min before you want to eat it, and/or use eggs or other stabilisers.
My last order was cancelled few days later. Left with a whole heap of giftcards. Luckily Found one for clearance instore
Got this on the first deal. So far have made blueberry frozen yoghurt, then the same recipe but with raspberry, then with raspberry and fig. I make half quantities of the recipe because I read somewhere that full quantities expand and push against the lid.

Easy to make and I’m only one person so smaller amounts workBack in stock
I bought it on 17th once back in stock and my order just got cancelled unfortunately
