It's sold out on Eneba. I see it on G2A but I've never used that site. Would the best way to go is CJS? I've only ever used that site for Game Pass and it worked fine. I feel like Sony might have something to crack down on subscriptions from sites like that.

True, there might be one in the next couple of weeks for Easter.
Whatever advertised discount you find at PS store, get more % off by using EB gift cards via shopback (4% off) or other (sometimes 7% off)
Process -> Use shopback to buy EB gift card, then go to EB website and buy PS gift cards online.
Black Friday probably. Deluxe plan isn't worth it. Extra is the one you want, unless you have no interest in the games on there. Extra was down to $100/year during Black Friday, from $169/year.

Login to PS store daily to check when they randomly offer you a targeted 25% or 30% discount.
Alternatively, they offer those discounts to all non-PS+ subscribers are various points in the year. Maybe an Easter sale?…
