  • Any suggestions.. Should I pull the trigger or wait for End of Financial Year deals?

I was looking for something similar.. mid price range and reasonable resolution..

Got no clue which one is better, do your own research.
    $189.99 "RRP" and 50% coupon.

  • How does this compare to this one?

Built in apps won't matter for me because I hook it up with a google TV streamer

Can anyone see anything about lumens on this model? Surely the 16000L in the model name and in the brightness doesn't mean 16000 ansi lumens….

This one has 200 Lumens and 10000:1 contrast (https://www.amazon.com.au/Projector-Bluetooth-Support-Keysto…) and has a 50% off coupon

If this has 16000 lumens its definitely worth the extra

  • Over 8,000 built-in apps.

    That's actually a big con for me…
It means it will be hard to find useful stuff, there's clutter everywhere, and it's potential security holes

    • +2

Ignore the apps, don't connect it to your wifi and use a FireTV or chrome stick.
Often these "smart" apps don't give the same user experience as external sticks anyway.

Just be weary with projectors like these. At the moment I'm on my 4th one and this is the longest I've had one. They all just stop working randomly (given it's all cheap Chinese bs). You will more than likely return it/refund it at some point in the next 3 to 6 months.
